Across Cuba, a land soaked in politics, music and "caught in time," it is the warmth of the people that stands out. U.S. relations with Cuba warmed in recent years, but have since declined. Cuba's economy has dipped, but somehow the spirit of the people remains positive. "I choose optimism," one friend told me. "I have no other choice."
