Here in Bhutan they never tie their horses; they simply allow their animals to roam free. When they need to use them, they will just climb the mountains to find them. This social norm has recently become part of the environmental chapter in Bhutan’s new constitution that also includes concrete sustainable solutions—to set a network of biological corridors where animals are allowed to roam free throughout the country.
