'Walking the trails and paths of the Peak District my eyes are drawn to the industrial influences which have shaped the area, like those that feature in the paintings of Sisley, Pisarro and Monet’s paintings of London in the late 19th and early 20th century.
Viaducts, carrying what was the old Midland Railway, crisscross the River Wye. Looking up, the Victorian architecture perfectly complements arching branches of beech and ash trees.’ – Alison Wake
