Today’s #ImpressionistsInspired artist is @cognissart who is sharing her textile artworks inspired by the seasons and their effect on the weather and landscape.

'Living in the heart of the Peak District National Park I am inspired by the macro and micro landscapes surrounding me. The variation in season, weather, light and mood create ever changing vistas which I utilise in my work. Monet’s Thames series, featured in the Impressionists in London exhibition at Tate Britain, includes a number of interpretations of the view to the Palace of Westminster from St Thomas’s Hospital. Likewise, Minninglow Beeches, Autumn depicts a favourite stand of beech trees, which I pass regularly when walking the dog, in the differing seasonal light of spring and autumn.’ – Alison Wake
