Ask yourself: Why Do You Train? Maybe it’s for a dream line you *might* send someday, or a project so close you can already feel the top-out. Maybe it’s for a 2-month trip to Rocklands or a 2-day trip to Rumney. Maybe it’s for that sandbagged Ben Moon problem on the ?board. Whatever the reason, it should be more than just ‘getting stronger’.

Finding this old picture gives me some feels. In the last 5+ years, organized training has made a big impact on my #climbing. I’ve learned the difference between training with a purpose and training just because. Whatever your goal is, make sure you HAVE one ??

I compare these photos and can’t help but think, “Maybe if I had spent more time training, I’d be hanging weight off the 6mm by now.” But that was never my goal. Training for mini-goals has led me to travel, make new friends, and pursue climbing in the most passionate ways I can. Those are goals I can have for a lifetime ? #trainingforclimbing
