Many of our immediate and extended family are spread out in a few different countries, which leaves our holiday gatherings smaller than we’d prefer. A few years ago we decided to make the most of it and ended up visiting museums and art galleries seeing exhibits and pieces of culture that we would have otherwise missed. What started as a spontaneous idea has turned into a family tradition that we look forward to as the holiday season approaches each year. #tigholidaytravel @thisisground

This week we made an adventure of it and got tickets to go to the Butterfly Exhibit at the @smithsoniannmnh which ended up being one of the most magical experiences of the year. Swipe left to see a few snippets of the beautiful museum, inside the actual Butterfly Garden Habitat and a little video of two beautiful blue ones that chased each other the entire time we were there. ?
