A set of drawing instruments that belonged to Andreas Fruth, who lived from 1849–1931. He was raised in Speyer, Germany. He immigrated to the US in 1868 and operated a marble and granite company in St. Louis, Missouri.
He married Caroline Brandenburger in 1873 and raised three children, Otto, Herman, and Hilda. His granddaughter donated this set to the museum.
