When radio station WANN went live "on location" in the 1950s, they used this "remote ready box," containing a black rotary phone, Raytheon transformer box, and miscellaneous cords, cables, tools, and phone input boxes.
WANN was one of the first stations committed to African American listeners. It was based in Annapolis, Maryland, and its star personality was Hoppy Adams.
