Here’s our new boss Secretary David Skorton playing a gold and silver flute from the 1940s in @国立アメリカ歴史博物館’s collection.
Sec. Skorton is a jazz musician who plays the flute and saxophone.
We encourage musicians to play our collection instruments. It’s our philosophy that instruments were meant to be heard and it’s also good for the instruments to be regularly played.
Our Chamber Music Society performs for the public using the collection’s instruments, including our Stradivari cello & violins
