Today in 1769: Dartmouth College in New Hampshire receives its charter. This Corona Model K Adding Machine was given to Walter A. Carrington, Jr., by his mother when he went to Clarkson University in the late 1950s as a freshman business school student. It later accompanied him to graduate studies in business at Dartmouth College.
