Today in 1966: In his State of the Union address, President Johnson says that the U.S. should stay in Vietnam, despite the conditions of prisoners of war at prisons such as the "Hanoi Hilton." These pajamas were issued to and worn by Commander Allan Carpenter, U.S. Navy, a POW from 1966-1973.
