Did you know you can travel 26 hours and over 1000 km away from Tokyo Tower and still be in Tokyo?😱

That’s right. Today I am going to reveal Tokyo’s biggest secret: its 11 remote islands.🏝🏖

I have put together a collection of Tokyo islands and a short description of each of them. And yes!! They are still (technically) in Tokyo!!🗼

I have been dying to visit some of these exotic islands for the longest time, particularly Miyake-jima as I am currently practicing Miyake-taiko, which is born on this subtropical paradise.

Why not escape Tokyo’s metropolitan craziness for a getaway full of pristine beaches, playful dolphins, rare birds and magical trees... and still be in Tokyo?🌺🦜🐬🐋🏝🗼

Anyone has heard of any of these 11 islands before❓
