The Matsumoto Castle Ice Sculpture Festival is Matsumoto’s representative winter event, where top ice sculptors from around Japan gather together and work through the night creating beautiful works of arts.
Watching their skillful craftsmanship and performance is a highlight of the event.
The finished sculptures are illuminated in the evening, creating a breathtaking display in front of Matsumoto Castle.
