It juts out from the rocky cliff face at the top of a long mountain trail, and along the trail you’ll find the Ushi-iwa, a stone resembling the legendary bull, and the Zenkoji Ana, a hole from which smoke is said to have bellowed out during the great Zenkoji fire. From in front of the temple’s office you can see majestic Mt. Asama and the townscape of Komoro City.
