Mt. Akadake
(Minamimaki Village, Hara Village, Chino City)

Mt. Akadake is the highest peak of the Yatsugatake mountain range. Its name comes from the reddish brown color of the rocks due to the high iron content.

Enjoy the great outdoors while surrounded by the mountain’s incredible and vast scenery.

*Climbing Mt. Akadake in winter requires a high degree of technical skill and physical fitness.

*The mountain lodges around Mt. Akadake are closed for winter.
