Photo by @estherhorvath / On the way to the science station at Greenland's 79° North Glacier, I had the opportunity to see the Elephant Foot Glacier, which I consider one of the most beautiful glaciers because of its shape. It's a great example of a piedmont glacier, where ice from a steep valley runs out onto a flat plain. Please follow @estherhorvath for more polar stories.
