This 3rd–10th century rider—laden with bandoliers, necklaces, and bracelets—accompanied the burial of a high-ranking individual in present-day Bura-Asinda-Sikka.

Look closely: Man and horse are unified in a sinuous line, from the rider’s elongated arm to the horse’s exaggerated muzzle. 🔍
