Described by the New York Times as offering “a distinct sense of being let in on a casual but celebratory gathering, like a potluck or a block party,” “Jordan Casteel: Within Reach” brings together nearly forty paintings spanning Casteel's career. The exhibition includes works from her celebrated series Visible Man (2013–14) and Nights in Harlem (2017), along with recent portraits of her students at Rutgers University-Newark. “Within Reach” is Casteel’s first solo museum exhibition in New York City.
