I’ve been revisiting my favorite Golden Age films. The past few days, it’s all things #Ziegfeld with a trio of favorites: the ever-inspiring technicolor Ziegfeld Follies (this clip, with Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse) Ziegfeld Girl, plus epic film The Great Ziegfeld.
Some of my favorite classics aren’t even available on digital yet, so I’m thinking of digging up a VHS player so I can watch movie treasures from this big plastic tub of VHS tapes I’ve had since the 90s. This is the first time I’ve wished I had a bigger TV. I keep getting off the sofa, standing two feet in front of the screen the see the details, rewinding, audibly gasping and commenting to myself at the glamour. ✨🙃✨
