It took me 5 and-a-half years, but better late than never lol. I am really proud of myself for getting my degree despite all the craziness life has brought me the last few years! My senior year of high school, I found out I got a scholarship and admission into the honors college at my first-choice school, UNF (It was my first choice because we had one of the best surf teams in the nation). I was sitting in the doctors office waiting room when I got the email. I showed my mom the email and she started crying so hard that everyone in the waiting room thought I’d just been diagnosed with something horrible lol. At the end of my sophomore year at UNF, I was about to move in with my best friend. I had my pen to the paper about to sign my lease, and I called my manager at the time to tell him I was signing a new lease in Florida. After a few conversations with him and my parents, I put the pen down and decided pretty much on the spot that I was gonna pack up and drive across the country to pursue my dream. I continued college through FIU online, taking a semester off here and there for music. With the support and love from my family and friends and LOTS of self motivation, I finally finished (and kicked ass, if I do say so myself). It was NOT easy, and I can’t tell if I’m ever going to use my degree for anything yet (lol), but I’m glad I stuck it out.」12月15日 6時42分
