We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.” -Anaïs Nin . . Something I’ve been reminded of when loyal to one’s own growth: it isn’t a neatly packaged process. It gets messy. Practicing new things doesn’t feel natural at first. You might not be so good at implementing newfound tools, mindsets, habits and whatnot for awhile. You might lose friends. Some probably needed to go, while others may have been just fine but perhaps staticky in the uncomfortable process of change and for whatever reason didn’t pan out. And you know what? It’s okay. If we’re not growing, we’re stagnating. And growth will require our all. And each one of us are worthy of grace while in it. And there will be those who love you and hold space during your varying metamorphoses throughout life. But most of all there is always you, growing, evolving, bettering, maturing. Make sure you hold space for you in all of it. I’m reminding myself of this very thing too. And the process is worth celebrating. So here is to all of us, wherever we may be, whether mess or order, ease or hardship, or everything in between. Kudos to where you’re doing the work, no matter the process. I hope somewhere in the midst a smile greets you, one that brings you your own too. . . .
