I opted for tea instead of coffee this afternoon and my reading fare consisted of the works of Dave Eggers, Harper Lee, Marcus Aurelius and Maya Angelou. I tend to have a stack of books that I like to rotate through depending on my mood (sort of in the same way one chooses what music to listen to, what outfit to wear and what kind of food to eat). What about you all? Do you prefer to read one book at a time or do you rotate through a few? 📖📚

And. Thank you all from my heart for the wonderful birthday wishes and messages yesterday! It moved me so much that you’d take time out of the day to cheer me in mine. So as the festivities continue (it can be stretched past the official day, right?), I commenced two new pens for the new journey ahead. Meet the Pocket Six Fountain Pen by @schon_dsgn. I was originally only going to get the Black Anodized Aluminum but then I spotted a Dark Unicorn offering and could not resist. Verdict: now I want a Brass one too. Yes, they are fantastical on all fronts. Speaking of, the @pegandawl Almond Waxed Canvas (coming soon!!) might just be my favorite of the colors. Smitten, over the moon, delirious with delight might accurately convey my sentiments of it in their tote.

pentabulous @catharinemisook I've started to do it with TV too. I don't have cable, I usually just stream. I just stream one show at a time. Not necessarily binge, but if I'm going to watch TV I just keep watching the same thing. I think part of it is the ease. With all that's going on in the world, it's nice to have something consistent (and comforting maybe?). And yes, if you do try one book, let me know how it goes! Doesn't mean you can grab an old favorite and write out some quotes from it.😊💛❤️

lovereignshere @catharinemisook it’s worked well for me. It’s been my birthday month too. Started with my first trip to the DC Pen show. Great way to start your birthday month! New pens and ink and a trip with your hubby. Who’s not into pens but loves me.
