The ambitious introduction of 24 lions from South Africa in 2018 was the largest international translocation ever undertaken. It is estimated that that the population could grow to as many as 500 within 15 years, restoring the apex predator to its native lands. Already, six cubs have been born since the lions’ release.

tere_321123 SHAME on Zambezi delta people who contributed to the WIPEOUT of Lions due to civil war. Zero Lions survived during those times that 24 lions had to brought in from another country. 15 years to increase lion population to 500? Long wait, hope it happens !!
