I'm a believer in the potential of art to communicate and create cultural ecosystems that support progressive politics and free-thinking. Doing art shows, charity events, music, panel discussions, all of those things are important because they are facets of a well-rounded creative ecosystem.⠀

If you're in #LosAngeles, join us this Saturday, July 27th for the opening reception of #PowerToTheParks, our week-long fundraising group exhibition - created in collaboration with @studionumberone and @parksproject to benefit the National Parks Conservation Association (@npcapics)! Our goal is to help generate support, educate, and ignite participation from today’s generation to save our National Parks. I'll be DJing, along with Ben Newman (@universalorder) from DIIV (@lovealienzzz). This Green Power piece will be on exhibit as well as the works from all of the participating artists, so come see them in person at the opening. You can find more info and RSVP through the link in bio. Thanks for caring, see you there!⠀

My art is a wreath laid at the feet of the gods, a thank you . But one thing I think artists do is say things that goid society has been brainwashed out of expressing , bleating instead whatever cultural hypnotism are in vogue at the time . The artist says naked truths in a way that is oxygen to anyone breathing manufactured air! Suddenly , the freedom to be oneself, follow the heart , etc, becomes possible . Which is why when I read the hysteria surrounding PRIVACY PROTECTIONS , whether it be identity theft ( let em have it! See if they get any farther than I have😂😂) etc , I just know that there is nothing that needs to be hidden . Transparency is freedom.

Art is still for a happy few unfortunately as I’m sure you’ve noticed during your “art shows”.
What about all those so called art fairs where you have to pay a ridiculous fee, all those galleries where as an ordinary person I don’t feel welcome...
But the worst is the gentrification of areas where street art has developed.
Looks like only a small group of wealthy people is benefiting from your do called “cultural ecosystems”

And in the UK the minister for schools has still not changed in the latest cabinet cull meaning art and music are being driven out of our schools. shepherd, do you fancy doing a campaign to highlight this? Most of the uk don’t even know his name, yet his personal restrictive and regressive education agenda has been foisted on to the uk for over a decade.
