🧀The villages of Canakkale Province on the Aegean Sea in Turkey are known for their high-quality cheese. 🌬The sea breeze is said to bless their pasturelands with minerals which provide ideal conditions for milk-producing sheep.🐑 Watch from farm-to-table, as culinary specialist Kentetsu Koh gets hands-on, making sheep’s-milk cheese the traditional way in the village of Kumkale. He also helps with baking bread, and preparing the dumpling-like dishes of kuvrum and mantu. Both are made from a dough called hamur, which comes from the flour of locally grown wheat. It’s said that hamur is so important, women cannot marry unless they can make it well! 💍
