Waiting to play later at Wembley Stadium, where we will use all the old and long established tools of music: —- orchestra, guitars, voices...I clear my head with this wonderful book about “modular synthesis”, something I’ve been involved with since 1971 and my first VCS3 and ARP2500 synths I used on ‘Who’s Next’. Beautifully designed, full of interviews, advice, and absolutely no prejudice, this is the best book about electronic sound that I’ve seen since the manuals for those two synths back in 1971. Authors Kim Bjørn and Chris Meyer, with a foreword by the wonderful Suzanne Ciani, make this a life changing moment for me. Warning, it’s expensive. It costs as much as some Eurorack modules. But it will change your studio process and lighten up your lunches and reads-in-bed for months to come. For those of us new to Eurorack the fact that it is so current and up to date makes it very special. .. .
PS: Sorry to those Who and PT fans who don’t know what I’m talking about. Believe me, this is about real music. You will all benefit. .

@yaggerdang ha! That’s too funny. I use the synth bits of Baba as my timer alarm, and when I teach my 5 year old student, I time a ten minute break. When he hears Baba, he lights up, big smiles and starts this funny jerking kinda dance. I get to teach his three year old sister soon. She loves music and I’m trained in music and movement for kids. She only speaks Chinese at the moment. I always teach kids Boris the Spider. They love it and I chase them and “creepy crawl” their heads, etc. I feel John is nearby when I sing this with kids. I enjoy introducing The Who to my Taiwanese students! Please come to Asia!!!! ???

Pete I just want to say thanks for fantastic gig.
It worked so good with orchestra. Also thanks for playing the two new songs they are great.
That took guts as some people will just want to the songs they know. But for me it was one of many highlights.
Waiting on big cigar of course I have heard before on album.
I couldn’t believe it when roger belted out first lines.
Thanks again can’t wait for new album

Thanks you for the recommendation, Pete! I will put it on my shopping list. Man, it's great that analogue synthesis has come back so strong! I'm waiting anxiously for the release of that Behringer Crave - it looks and sounds tasty! Have a great show at Wembley! Love from Rochester, NY, USA!

Pete, thanks for sharing the website info... I see these guys are on Instagram also @pushturnmove ... And they’ve got another interesting project/ book coming out in October on ‘Stomp Box’ effects called ‘Peddle Crush - Stomp box effects for creative music making’ ...I like it!

Chris Meyer here. For those who are interested in what Pete's talking about, I just created a 25% coupon code for my online modular synthesis courses - check them out at https://learningmodular.com/training/ and use the code "pete" when registering. And again - thanks.

@yaggerdang not surprised, it’s brilliant, tonality and complexity. Hope you won’t mind me saying that it’s always reminded me of the synth work on SOS by ABBA —both have a classical sensibility with great pop accessibility.
