Ready for an interview about The Shadows, the first guitar band I fell in love with when I was 15. Their hit ‘Apache’ changed the way I approached music. Their ‘Man of Mystery’ was the first music I ever recorded on a friend’s basic tape machine. PS the tee is a BBC Radiophonics workshop limited edition from the last tour they did. .

At a Who concert in the early 80's I had a seat up and off to the right and when things got too boring on stage I was able to watch Alan re-stringing guitars between songs. He put a string on, gave it a few winds, and then he would grab it at the mid way point between spindle and bridge and stretch it out away from the fret board to a height of about six inches. I tried this out and discovered this allows fresh strings to stay in tune. Thanks Alan!

So sorry to hear about dear Alan’s passing. He was a lovely friend to Ian McLagan. I was Mac’s friend and manager, and Alan welcomed us on Mac’s solo tour in New Castle. We had a wonderful dinner together. Always happy to see Alan on tour with The Who, and he came out to see the Faces rehearse with Mick Hucknall in London a few years back. He will be missed. Love and prayers to his family and many friends the world over. ❤️

Where can I catch the interview. I adore The Shads. At one of their concerts I formulated the idea that if The UN made everyone see them there would be happiness and world peace. Logistically tricky, I admit and there must be none of their cabaret style stuff. Would love to hear your take on these big brothers of British rock and roll.

Hi Pete, I simply wanted to say thank you for touring again, it’s brings folks like us so much joy. Your music is a constant in our family life as it changes the energy in our home many times a week. We don’t know you, but we love and thank you for your contribution to our family. It continues to be immeasurable.

@eo.finsduh he was charged in 2003 and put on the sex offenders list that year, after a caution, for paying to access child pornographers sex sites.
Charities at the time said they could easily have given him all the material he needed and there was no need to break the law by funding child rape.

It's funny as I look back at all my Who related adventures. Thru it all, I've met Mr. Rogan, Pino Palladino, Simon, Jodi Lynn Scott, Entwistle, Mick Double (which is a truly hilarious story), but never Roger or Pete. I'm starting to think they are mythical holograms on stage. 😂😂😂
