#FrancisBaconCouplings: An exhibition of Francis Bacon's double-figure paintings is now open at Gagosian, Grosvenor Hill, London. Join us for the opening reception tonight from 6–8pm.

Although the artist was sometimes reluctant to specifically identify the subjects of his paintings, a number of the works in “Couplings” (a term the artist himself used) were inspired by his fraught, often violent and passionate relationships. Learn more via the link in our bio.
