Reign Bow" (2012) recreates a tactical platform commonly used by law enforcement to monitor neighborhoods deemed “dangerous.” Ward states that he wants this work “to convey a sense of balance between control and freedom,” pairing ominous markers of violence with a sense of insouciant reprieve in the form of whimsical details.
