ワシントンDC、２日目。午前中は「日米科学技術協力合同高級委員会」を開催。日米科学技術協力協定に基づき日米交互に開催している閣僚級会合です。日本側共同議長は、私と柴山文部科学大臣。米国側はドログマイヤー大統領府科学技術政策局（OSTP）局長、クレイチオス大統領副補佐官です。日米間ではこれまで様々な科学技術イノベーション協力が成功裏に進められてきています。今回の委員会では、特に私の関係では、米国との間でAIに関する協力を加速すること、日米でのムーンショット研究開発に関する協力を進めていくこと、などを合意しました。終了後に記者会見にて公表します。しっかりと進めてまいります！
Day 2 in Washington DC. In the morning, Japan-US Joint High Level Committee on S&T Cooperation was held with senior officers from Japan and US, under the chairs of Mr. Droegemeier, Director of OSTP, Mr. Kratsios, Deputy Assistant to the US President, Minister Shibayama of MEXT, and me. Japan and US have achieved a lot of cooperation successfully on this field. Especially at this committee, we will hereafter accelerate collaborations on AI, and start future cooperation on the Moonshot R&D. Japan and US continue to enhance our strong tie on science, technology and innovation.
