Onstage performances are about so many things; of course music is front and center, but we also have to think about what we are wearing and have it be a part of the experience and expression, it’s also a form of respect to the audience who are coming out, to show that we are making the effort for them as well as for ourselves.
I went for a bohemian look in Osaka, pulling out old and new: a mustard knit skirt that I wore as a dress from Vivayou (from 1998!), a red VS bustier and Uniqlo spanx-like bicycle length shorts underneath, red suede platforms, necklaces from Lad Musician, Penelope’s Stories and Bass, and a vintage bag from Bali. #oldandnew #mixingitup
