Simone Forti's "Striding Crawling," 1975-1978 is a 120º Integral Multiplex Hologram that changes as you move while looking at it. ⠀

In the 1960s, Simone Forti developed a vocabulary of movements that emphasize improvisational actions over structured choreography. Forti's "Dance Constructions," as she titled them, meditate on kinetic sensation, natural movement, and everyday gestures. She considers these performances to be living sculpture, often inviting spectators to walk around the performers to see them from all angles. This fascination with bodies and movement in space led Forti to embrace holography as a means to capture some of her "Dance Constructions." She also performed with the holograms. ⠀
