WWIII could look more familiar and be closer to home than you may have imagined.

At least that’s what Jack Ma, the Alibaba founder, said in Davos. “The first world war was because of the first technology revolution,” he said at the World Economic Forum. “The second technology revolution caused the second world war.” “This is the third technology revolution — we’re coming,” Ma added.

But he was quick to point out the ways tech has benefitted society. Data, for instance, could help experts use fossil fuels “efficiently” and “smartly,” he said.
