Chinese tech giant, Huawei, could back away from Western countries if it continues to face restrictions, the company's Chairman Liang Hua warned world leaders in Davos.

One of the world’s top smartphone makers, Huawei is also a leader in telecom infrastructure — particularly in the race for 5G.

Huawei has been accused of spying and tech theft by many different countries and the accusations have intensified in recent weeks amid the tense U.S.-China trade dispute.

Some experts are starting to worry that the trade war may turn into a "tech war." “I can tell you, after the Huawei events, all the Chinese money into Silicon Valley stops. And no U.S. money will want to invest into China either,” one academic cautioned.
