According to Theosophical thought, evolution is a process that extends beyond biology, pervading the cosmos on physical and ultimately spiritual levels. Collectively, these works consider theories of evolution, which remained a contested concept when af Klint made them, nearly 50 years after the publication of Charles Darwin’s "On the Origin of Species." __
