On World AIDS Day, we recognize the devastating impact of the AIDS pandemic. In honor of the first annual "Day With(out) Art" on December 1, 1989, the Guggenheim was draped with a ninety-by-eighteen-foot black banner to honor our colleagues in the art world who have died from or who are living with HIV/AIDS.
