Okutadami Dam was the inspiration for the setting of the movie “White Out.” Surrounded by an expanse of wilderness, this is the entrance to Oze from Niigata Prefecture. Resembling the fjords seen in northern Europe, this is actually one of the largest reservoirs in Japan. Sightseeing boats offer an exquisite view of the romantic scenery.

日本最大級のダム湖の風景は、まるで北欧のフィヨルドのよう。
