In Giethoorn, Netherlands the entire village is connected by waterways. You either have to take a canoe to get everywhere or the bridges (each family own the bridge to their house) over the canals.

I’d wanted to visit Giethoorn for years and it was my second to last stop on my trip to Europe while shooting my travel show *From A to C with Nowhere to B.*

Because that show was so fast-paced, and I was getting on a train almost every day, I needed to pack light and get it all in carry-on bag. But it can be tricky because summer in six different counties across Europe varies. A lot. Between rain, cold, and blistering heat it’s hard to strike a balance.
