A little Bluesday inspiration from our Arts of the Islamic World collection: The deer looking skyward on this dish is based on a unicorn-looking-at-the-moon motif that originated in Central Asia. The blue and white coloring of the dish was inspired, however, by Chinese ceramics that reached Iran by way of the Silk Road. #infinitebluebkm ?⠀⠀
