植田夢月さんのインスタグラム写真 - (植田夢月Instagram)「・ Climbing Trip in Yangshuo, China PART2 ・・なんとなく取り付いてみた"French Connection"が予想以上にむずくて、でも諦めるのもなんか嫌だから最終日の出発ギリギリまで粘っちゃって、でも登れなかった。っていう話をなぜか長々と書いてしまった。次回陽朔に来た時は、そっこー登るぞ！悔しい！！いつになるか分からんけど。・・ On another day, we went to "Swiss Cheese". It's a small crag but has routes ranging from 5.5 to 5.13a. ・ In spite of humid condition, I decided to try "French Connection" / 5.12a for some reason... The wall's angle is about 110°〜120°, the holds of the crux are tiny. It is not so strenuous but the crux move is hard (some topos and websites say it's grade is 5.12b). On the 1st day, I could managed to do all the move, but I felt it was impossible to send it under such condition. ・ After going back to hotel, thinking back about the route, I felt I should challenge. I hate to give up. The day before we left Yangshuo, I tried again, but failed. So we decided to try in the early morning of the next day, before our departure. ・ We woke up at 3:00AM, and arrived at the crag at 4:30AM before sunrise. It was still hot, however the best condition for me in this trip. On the 1st crux, my move was solid. I felt confident. Before the 2nd crux, I took a rest for a few minutes, then left…but fell on the very last move of the crux. I got so disappointed. It was my last chance. ……OK, I should come back to Yangshuo in the future and climb to the top of the route.
