I’m completely heartbroken. I can’t bear seeing these poor families being ripped apart. It’s unfathomable and un-American. I can’t help but think of my own mother who came to the United States as a 5 year old immigrant from The Netherlands, unable to speak English. I think of my own daughter and my baby on the way. I can’t imagine the fear and sheer panic these people are feeling.
