One of my all time favorite quotes that I’ve shared more than a few times here but it’s one that goes into almost every journal and it reminds me of the richness my Dad instilled throughout my life. I’m finally cracking open an A5 notebook for a change and making it my scrapbooking / bujo / rough sketches space in a step forward to get myself more engrossed in mindful crafting and creating.

We’ve been taking it easy today, staying inside in the cool, keeping our nose in books, making paper airplanes, eating bowlfuls of cherries and enjoying a day of rest and remembrance. This is exactly how my Dad would have wanted to enjoy today and his love of the quieter spaces continues to live on through us. I hope all the fathers and father-figures out there are having a wonderful day too.
