Photo by @shonephoto (Robbie Shone) - Pictured here is one of the most spectacular tunnels inside Lechuguilla (cave). The Lebarge Borehole lies about 4 hours of general caving from the entrance. The walls are coated in pristine white gypsum crystals that sparkle and shimmer when lights are shone onto them. For millions of years, Lechuguilla has been sealed off from human and animal interaction. The cave, which lies in Carlsbad Caverns NP, NM is a very beautiful and highly protected cave. Access is very strongly controlled and only given to experienced cavers with specific scientific or exploration goals within certain parts of the cave. @natgeocreative
