This images is from the cover story of the first issue of Far & Away, a new magazine that brings together the photojournalism of National Geographic and the reporting of The Wall Street Journal.

In it, a traditional Omani rider performs at Bahla horse festival, Bahla, Oman. The horses ridden at Bahla festival are a variety of breeds- Anglo, Arabian, English and Desert breeds (a mix of local Arabian mares with an english blood line).
