100 years since some women were granted the right to vote, the first statue of a woman in Parliament Square was unveiled today of #MillicentFawcett (1847–1929), a tireless suffragist leader.
The statue was created by artist Gillian Wearing, whose 1992 photograph series can be seen at Tate Britain.
