For this #TBT I wanted to share the process behind one of my new paintings "Evolution of the Aribtrator." I created this piece for my recent solo show “Children on the Edge” @coreyhelfordgallery.
The main character is based on a cherub, an angel of intellect who represents the existence of God, only I've painted her with 3 wings. Human beings now have a great intellect, some might say the same kind of power as a God has, which makes me wonder about things like, 'If humans are so highly advanced, how can we allow our world to be destroyed?' Through this work, I tried to think about ideas of intellect and human being's evolution.
