For this #FBF I thought I would share the process behind my new painting “Children of This Planet” #39. I created this piece for my show “Children on the Edge” closing this Saturday.
This show marks a continuation of my painting series of the same name. I wanted to depict ideas about the various boundaries or “edge” of life; life and death, the shoreline and the shore, the past and the future, and the chaos of such things. This series is also my attempt to create new expressions from my previous work, and even changing the way that I draw my subjects, such as using brighter colors and motif of death.
