Curious why the #2018Triennial is titled "Songs for Sabotage?" In part, it references research on the history of sabotage compiled by Evan Calder Williams. His essay in the exhibition catalogue explains: sabotage is "a form of invisible revolt that refuses to stand up and be counted." It undermines "colonial, patriarchal, and capitalist structures not through... retreat or reform, but by working within them."
