@snow.science ❄️ 3/3 Ever wonder what goes into decision making in the mountains? People ask what was the reason for turning back? It’s self preservation, a basic human instinct. Yet when at the top of a snow slope, with the sweat and effort behind us, we launch into dangerous terrain. What is the foundation for these decisions and what factors might over ride logic?
