@jenniferhayesig Update Part 2. Rice delivery and rescue of the abandoned island dogs, Busuanga Philippines. We discovered these two desperate creatures left on an island without access to food while we were scouting a dive site for dugongs. We fed and watered them but learned we could not immediately remove them without approval from locals. We worked with our colleagues at a dive center to support the dogs while their guide carefully made proper arrangements to relocate the dogs. The dogs were fed daily and recently retrieved by boat and taken to a local farm to recover and recuperate. We have contacted a veterinarian who is on standby to travel to them when they are stable enough to vaccinate and perform work up for their required certifications to travel by air or ferry to their forever home.
